1. Tell me about yourself.
My name is Eunjin Seo. I graduated from college in Korea and studied Environmental Engineering. I have always been responsible in school and at work. Now I want to build a new career in the U.S., and I am interested in nursing. That is why I want to study LVN program.
2. Why do you want to become a vocational nurse?
I’ve wanted to be an LVN for 10 years, but I was busy raising my kids and adjusting to life IN THE U.S. Now that my children are grown, I finally have time for my dream.I believe nursing is a truly rewarding career because I love helping people, and with nursing skills, I can help others more professionally ,especially during my church mission trips.
3. Why did you choose Angeles University?
Actually, I first visited Angeles Universitye 10 years ago for a consultation, and I always remembered this school. Recently, I looked at many nursing school websites, and I felt this school was the best choice for me. When I visited Angeles University again, Mr. Young was very kind and explained everything clearly. That gave me the confidence that I could finish the program here successfully.
4. What do you know about our program?
I saw on the school website that Angeles University has many programs. I also saw good results after graduation, like employment. That made me feel this school can really help students do well.
5.What are your educational goals?
My goal is to finish the LVN program successfully. I want to learn professional nursing skills and improve my English. I also want to gain the confidence to take care of patients in the future. I believe Angeles University will help me become a good nurse.
6. What are your career goals?
After I finish the LVN program and get my license, I want to work as a vocational nurse. I want to get more patient care experience. I hope to grow as a nurse step by step.
7.How will you handle studying in English?
I know studying in English can be hard, but I am ready to do my best. I will study nursing words every day and ask questions when I do not understand. I believe I can improve step by step
8.How will you manage stress?
When I feel stressed, I try to be thankful. If I feel stressed while studying, I will remember that I am so lucky to finally study nursing. So, I will do my best in my studies, keeping in mind how grateful I am to have this opportunity.
9.Why should we accept you?
You should accept me because I am responsible and serious about becoming a nurse. I passed the TEAS exam, and I am ready to study hard. I will do my best and finish the program successfully.
10.What is your educational background?
I studied Environmental Engineering in college. I graduated with good grades.
I learned how to study hard and be responsible.
11. What is your strength?
My strength is responsibility. When I start something, I try to finish it.
I also try to do my best in school and work.
12. What is your weakness?
My weakness is English speaking. Sometimes I need more time to answer.
But I practice every day, and I will keep trying.
13.What qualities make a good nurse?
I think a good nurse should be kind, responsible, and patient.
A nurse should listen well and care for patients with respect.
14.What will you do if you do not understand something in class?
If I do not understand something, I will ask questions.
I will also review my notes and study again at home. I will not give up.
